Family owned and operated Model Cleaners is seeking a corporate level IT Manager.  Model Cleaners and its affiliated companies operate 26 stores and 4 central processing plants in southwestern Pennsylvania, northeastern Ohio and West Virginia, providing services to thousands of businesses and residential customers.

 IT Manager

This is a management-level position responsible for analyzing and directing all IT related activities of the organization with supervisory responsibilities for all staff assigned to the IT department.  This position is accountable for ensuring continuity of computer services for computer users throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination.

Job Description:

Provides technical expertise and industry knowledge to support, oversee and evaluate IT operations.  Manages internal IT technology support staff to ensure successful fulfillment of end-user requirements.  Communicates regularly with IT staff to monitor performance and determine whether a high level of quality and service is maintained by meeting or exceeding commitments.  Defines technology strategies and ensures that processes meet expectations for federal, state and community privacy and security regulations.  Provides support to establish, coordinate and evaluate information technology products and services.  Maintains knowledge of current trends and new technologies in related areas.  Directly supervises and manages assigned IT professionals.  Coordinates and communicates across the IT department and other cross functional teams within the organization.  Directly communicates with vendors about products and services or facilitates communication between staff, management and vendors.  Contributes to system recovery plans in the event of power failure, damage to the systems, etc.  Participates in the correction of any system failures.  Ensures that support for around-the –clock information transfer, storage, and processing is timely, efficient and meets the level of service required.  Adheres to all policies, procedures and standards.  Present a professional image as a representative of the company.   

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or computer related field.  Minimum 5 years work experience in direct management of IT operations and staff.  Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, driving record and background check required.  Own transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
